2014 National and Special Holidays in the Philippines List

Plan your vacation leaves and look for promo fare tickets for next year for here is the list of the Philippine holidays for 2014.

As per Proclamation no. 655 series of 2013, the Office of Malacanang has already listed the official holidays for 2014 including all Regular, Special or non-working, and Special ( no classes for schools) holidays. The proclamation was signed by President Noynoy Aquino last July 2013.

Most Regular holidays except those with religious significance will be moved to the nearest Monday, making it more fun to travel due to a number of long weekends next year.

Eidul Adha, is also declared a national holiday in the Philippines.

January 1 – New Year’s Day

April 9 – Araw ng Kagitingan  (WEDNESDAY)

April 17 – Maundy Thursday (THURSDAY)

April 18 – Good Friday (FRIDAY)

May 1 – Labor Day (THURSDAY)

June 12 – Philippine Independence Day (THURSDAY)

August 25 – National Heroes Day (Last MONDAY of August)

November 30 – Bonifacio Day (SUNDAY)

December 25 – Christmas Day (THURSDAY)

December 30 – Rizal Day ( TUESDAY)

December 24 – Christmas Extra Holiday (WEDNESDAY)

December 26 – Christmas Extra Holiday (FRIDAY)
