Cebuanos love to eat Chinese food. Almost everywhere you go, you’ll find Chinese inspired food like Siomai sa Tisa, Ngohiong and Steamed Rice being sold.
But if you are looking for great tasting yet affordable Dimsum and dumplings, Field Trip Boy suggest you go to Cebu’s newest Dimsum king, Chow City Restaurant in I.T. Park.
Chow City specializes in Authentic Chinese Cuisine. This Chinese restaurant has the largest selection of dim sum and dumplings in Cebu. What’s great is that they serve these great tasting treats at very affordable prices. Most of their steamed dumplings are sold at 55 pesos per serving, same price like those siomai sold in food courts, but these are more delicious.

They have a wide variety of dimsum and dumplings to choose from. Chow City serves classic Pork siomai, Empress Rolls, Mushroom Siomai, Fried Wanton, Shark’s Fin siomai, Bacon dumplings and a lot more. They also have a Dimsum Platter so that you can sample 3 different kinds of dumplings for only 135 pesos.

To complete your meal, you can order their other house specialty, the Steamed Rice (rice with toppings) for only 55 pesos, perfect for students and yuppies on a budget. Chow City’s Steam Rice has 3 variants: Pork, Beef and Chicken.
Their ala cart dishes are also very affordable. Their pork, chicken and beef dishes are priced at around 120 to 180 pesos per order. They also have a lot of seafood and vegetable viands as well as other popular Chinese dishes such as hot soups, noodles (70 to 90 pesos), and congee (for only 75 pesos).
Bring your friends over, for your group will surely love the Yan Chao fried rice, Sweet and Sour pork and the spicy Szechuan Chicken. For pulutan, you can order Sisig and Gambas. For the health conscious, go for the yummy Spring Rolls and the colorful vegetable dish called Chow Pa Chin.
