Good news to all Field Trippers, Malacanang, through the Office of the President, has announced the list of holidays to be observed and followed in the Philippines for 2013.
The list includes Regular Holidays, Special Non-Working Holidays, and Special Holidays (for schools only).
This announcement was made after President Noynoy Aquino signed Proclamation No. 459 in August 16, 2012. This proclamation shall be given to different news agencies and be published in major newspapers for proper flow of information.
Magandang balita eto for those planning their vacations next year. As reported, there will be 4 long weekends for 2013. You can count up to 5 long weekends if you will consider the last weekend for 2012 and for January 1, 2013 (Tuesday), hehehe.
This is great news for those who want to plan their vacations early and book their hotel rooms and airline promo tickets in advance. The list covers all the holidays for 2013 and that includes some that will either fall on a Monday or Friday, creating long weekends perfect for beach vacations in Cebu or Boracay or spending long weekends via road trips in Ilocos, Baguio or Bicol. It is also perfect in planning your trips abroad like taking your family to Hong Kong Disneyland or go shopping with your friends in Bangkok without filing your vacation leaves.

Field Trip Boy’s Tip during the holidays:
If you want to get Piso Fare tickets from Cebu Pacific, Airphil, Philippine Airlines, Zestair, Air Asia and others, the best way is by looking forward to special holidays like Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, Labor Day, and others.
This trend has been used in the past years and has shown to be very effective marketing tools for different airline companies. So if you want to buy affordable domestic and international tickets, better mark your calenders for the special and non special holidays of the Philippines. Who knows, they might offer Piso Fare 2013 promos then, Lol.
