I like wearing rubber shoes. I’m more comfortable wearing them most of the time especially on our week end trips to the mall.
Problem is, I’m bad at maintaining them and keeping them in good condition. That’s probably the reason why that I’m stuck with the locally made canvass shoes for a few years now because they are very affordable and I can easily buy new ones for replacements instead of washing them on a regular basis.
Nike Lunar Hypergamer Low
My older brother probably noticed my shoes during my last trip in Manila and decided to give me a new pair of “branded” rubber shoes. He went on a vacation in Hong Kong a few weeks ago and decided to buy me an early Christmas gift. Yey!!!
Meet my new kicks!!!!
Here is my new pair of rubber shoes, the Nike Lunar Hypergamer Low.
This one is a good choice for these are low-cut shoes and they look good either with shorts or with maong pants. Never liked the high cut shoes for I’m not the basketball player type.
As for comfort, this one passes the test. The shoes are very light thanks to the Hypefuse construction and the mesh materials.
Retail price of this particular model sells around 5 thousand pesos here in the Philippines. We went to the Nike Park in Total SLEX after the Halloween break and saw that the regular price is 5,200 pesos. Kuya Tan bought my shoes at 2,000 pesos less!!!
Field Trip Boy update:
After a few days of posting this article, Kuya Tan called me up and told me to look up the net and search for Jeremy Lin for he is the endorser of this particular line of shoes… Jeremy Lin is the new point guard of the Houston Rockets and the break out star of the the 2011 NBA season.
Yes!!! LINSANITY baby…. yeah. Now I should get one of Jeremy Lin’s Houston Rocket’s jersey or a Linsanity T-shirt.
