Children in Metro Manila and nearby provinces should be very excited this coming Christmas season, for the tallest Ferris Wheel in the country will be open for public come December 16, 2011. Named the MOA EYE, this Ferris Wheel is the tallest Ferris Wheel in the country with the height of 160 feet.
Filipinos love to ride the Ferris Wheel or the “tsubibo”. It is always a hit in every “perya” during the town fiestas. It is also one of the most popular rides in our local theme parks such as that of Star City in Pasay and Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The MOA EYE is located at the back of SM Mall of Asia. It is placed in a 1.5 kilometer themed parked, that once fully operational can have as much as 30 fun filled rides for the whole family. And unlike other theme parks that are usually opens during the peak seasons, this theme park in MOA is open for everyone the whole year round. Entrance fee for the theme park is free, but you have to pay for every ride you wish to take.
As for the MOA EYE, a ride in this Ferris Wheel would cost you 100 pesos. The MOA Eye is so tall that you can have a great view of nearby surroundings as well as that of the famous Manila Bay. The coaches of the Ferris Wheel are also fully air-conditioned, giving you a more relaxed and comfortable ride. Sulit na sulit ang 100 pesos entrance fee.
Now, people have more reasons why they should go to SM MOA this coming Christmas. SM Moa has always preparing something special for every one come Christmas season. They have an annual fire works display that is scheduled every 7 PM during weekends of December, as well as a grand Christmas Parade during every Saturdays and Sundays of the same Month. The MMFF parade of floats also starts at the back of SM Mall of Asia. We even have fun taking pictures in this years display of penguins, gingerbread houses and the Snow Globe at MOA’s activity center. It is also nice to see the globe in front of the mall where the LED lights shows some colorful Christmas themed displays.
So let us all bring the whole family this Christmas to SM MOA and brave the heights of the newest attraction here in Metro Manila.
Merry Christmas from your friendly Field Trip Buddy!!!
