I have been planning to be more fit and healthy for some time now. I just can’t recall how many unfulfilled New Year’s resolutions and promises I’ve made over the years.
Having a travel blog does not help my cause. Traveling makes you hungry and when you travel, one of the must do’s is to try out various local delicacies and dine out in native specialty restaurants. Even when on the road, you can’t help but munch on chips, eat candies and drink lots of soda to pass the time during long bus rides.
Probably, I need more weight loss motivation to kick start my plans for healthy living.
I got a taste of that motivation when I went snorkeling in Bantayan Island a few days ago. Me and my brother went on an island trip where one of the highlights is a trip to a marine sanctuary.
There, we snorkeled to see the beautiful corals, we also got to feed some colorful fish! Just a few minutes of swimming and snorkeling made me tired and left me out of breath. Swimming became difficult after that even though I was wearing a life vest to help me float and prevent me from drowning. 😆
Maybe those burgers, fries and hotdogs are catching up on me. I really need to burn all these stored calories!!!
