Probably the most iconic and most recognizable Philippine landmark is the Mayon volcano in the province of Albay. While in Camarines Sur, one should also go and pay a visit to Our Lady of Penafrancia church in the city ofNaga.
- Luneta Park
The Philippine’s National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was shot in Bagumbayan, now known as Rizal Park or Luneta. The park offers city dwellers a place to unwind and have a picnic while viewing the famous Manila Bay sunset. The park is also popular to kids because of its water and laser show during night time and the Philippine relief map near Taft Avenue. You could also take the whole family to the Manila Ocean Park located near Quirino Grand Stand and Manila Hotel. Luneta Park is also near Fort Santiago, so one could also visit more historical sites like the Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church.
- Pagsanjan Falls
Mention Pagsanjan falls, and the words, “shooting the rapids” quickly comes to mind. Not only does Pagsanjan Falls offer a fantastic view, it also gives one heck of a thrill ride to tourists. Pagsanjan is also near the town of Liliw, so you could get to shop for espadrilles and other footwear. You could also continue your water adventure after Pagsanjan Falls by going to the hot spring resorts in Brgy. Pansol in Calamba City.

- Puerto Gallera
Puerto Gallera is Luzon’s answer to Boracay. Located in the province of Mindoro Oriental, it is just a boat ride from the Batangas Port.With white sand beaches and clear waters, Puerto Gallera is the one hottest tourist destination of city folks specially during holidays and long week ends.
- Heritage City of Vigan
Vigan offers a window for tourist to see and experience how life was during the Spanish era. With preserved old houses or bahay na bato lining the cobble stone street of Calle Crisologo, Vigan was awarded by Unesco the title of Heritage City. One could also go to a culinary tour by going to Plaza Burgos and sample famous Ilocano delicacies like empanada, longanisa, bibingka and bagnet.

- Hidden Valley Springs Resort
Hidden Valley Springs Resort is located in the town of Alaminos, Laguna. One could easily relax in the many mineral springs located in the nature park or you could go hiking and discover the mystical waterfall situated in the “hidden valley”. Tourists could also go and have a side trip and visit the 7 lakes of San Pablo City, or have a native buffet lunch in the man-made waterfalls of Villa Escudero in Tiaong,Quezon.
- Hundred Islands in Alaminos, Pangasinan
If Bohol has its Chocolate Hills, Pangasinan has its Hundred Islands. Tourist could go island hopping and explore the beautiful marine life and different caves located in the many islands of the park. Families could also have a picnic in one of the larger islands like the one with the white sand beach in Quezon Island.
- Mt.Pinatubo in Pampanga
After 20 years of spewing ash and causing lots of destruction in Central Luzon, Mt.Pinatubo became quite and produced a beautiful lake in its crater. After a day of 4×4 rides and hiking, tourists will be rewarded with the beautiful site of the lake with its aquamarine water in the volcano’s crater.
- Baguio City
The country’s Summer Capital, Baguio is a favorite destination of tourists and honeymooners. Blessed with cool weather whole year round, and pine trees everywhere, Baguio is the best place to go and relax if you don’t want to go to crowded beaches during weekends or holidays. Tourist could also pick strawberries in La Trinidad, Banguet or have an “ukay-ukay” shopping spree in the city’s Session Road. Never leave Baguio City without buying the most sought after pasalubong like fresh vegetables, ube jam and strawberry jam. There are also a lot of souvenirs to buy there like woven mats, wood carvings and silver jewelry.
